Character Behavior and Their Dialogue (Online)

The goal of this class is to introduce participants to creative ways to think about character behavior with specific and unique dialogue.

Through in-class exercises, participants will experiment with developing complex and active characters that push the story forward and speak in dialogue that is rich with subtext. We will look at the work of accomplished playwrights who have brought memorable personalities to the stage to use as examples to inspire our own work, and students will endeavor to write the next Sister Aloysius, Troy Maxson, Willy Loman, or Blanche DuBois!
